Q. What do you like about working at AVANGRID?

I appreciate AVANGRID’s commitment to celebrating people from diverse backgrounds. While researching the company it was major factor in my decision to join the organization.

Q. What’s a recent project or initiative you’ve been proud to be a part of?

I will talk about a personal initiative. I am a father of five and it has always been my goal that all my kids attend institutions of higher learning. This upcoming year that will be accomplished, as my last son will be leaving for college.

Q. What does Black History Month mean to you?

In my opinion Black History Month is not only a celebration, but it also provides an opportunity for open and honest dialogue amongst people from different backgrounds.  It is important that we not only discuss the past achievements of people of African American decent, but that also we engage in honest and constructive dialogue about the issues related to systemic racism and injustice that continue to plague our society.

Q. How do you feel about AVANGRID’s commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)?

I am a new employee but as I stated earlier it was a key contributing factor to me joining the company.

Q. Who or what inspires you?

Great question.  I honestly am inspired by my wife. Her commitment to higher education and being her authentic self is unparalleled. She truly makes me want to be a better person.

Q. What do you hope to accomplish in the years ahead?

I have a passion for this industry and am dedicated to progressing to levels beyond my current station.
