In addition to their day jobs at Avangrid, two military veterans—Micah Weinstein and Shawn Cronkwright—have found a new mission: supporting those who’ve served and building a bridge between military and civilian life. As part of our Avangrid in the Community series, we’re shining the spotlight on employees who generously give their time and energy to passions that drive them. How long have you been on the land? Have things changed? The family has been here for almost 100 years, but I’ve been here for about 45 years. It’s totally changed from the dryland wheat to the solar project. This particular area was used for dryland wheat and cattle grazing before Avangrid built the solar project. We

Avangrid is one of the nation’s leading energy generation companies, producing power for homes and businesses across the United States.
