Avangrid technicians host local students to share insights into career opportunities in the energy industry Supporting local communities is at the heart of Avangrid’s work. That commitment was on display recently at Gala Solar in Crook County, Oregon, where Avangrid technicians welcomed a group of local high school students for a hands-on look at career opportunities in the energy sector. Southern Oregon’s high desert is home to incredible natural beauty, outdoor living, and more than 300 days of sunshine every year. It’s also home to Avangrid’s Klamath Energy facility in Klamath Falls, which helps power the regional electric grid around the clock and represents a vital piece of Avangrid’s broader portfolio in the Pacific Northwest while remaining a staple in the local community. Kerri Victor is the key point of contact for Avangrid’s landowners across the western United States. She has been with the company for 19 years and is proud to work with a diverse group of landowners across the region. - Who is Kerri? I am a lease portfolio manager at Avangrid. Avangrid closed out 2025 with achievements that underscore our commitment to meeting America’s surging demand for electricity, powering the U.S. economy, and empowering the communities where we operate. This year, we announced that our largest solar project to date — the 321 MWdc True North Solar Farm in Texas— achieved commercial operation. We continued that momentum through the summer and announced commercial operation at our 202 MWdc Powell Creek Solar project in Putnam County, Ohio and our 57 MWdc Camino Solar project in Kern County, California. Hi everyone! My name is Rebekah Verlander, and I’m the newest member of the Land Management team. I’ve been with Avangrid for the past two years as part of the Global Rotational Graduate Program, where I had the opportunity to work across four departments—including a six-month assignment in Madrid at our Iberdrola office. I’m originally from England, spent ten years living in Houston, Texas, and recently relocated to Portland for this role. Outside of work, I love to travel, stay active, and spend time with friends.

What inspired you to work in development? I am a mechanical engineer by background and have always had interest in energy conservation and optimization while working in the petrochemical and other heavy industries (as a plant engineer and consultant). However, my career path became more focused on energy as my reaction to 9/11/2001, when it became my strong belief (and remains to this day) that our country needs to be energy independent. That focus is what moved me into energy generation. What would you recommend

Vicki Ashley is a fourth-generation landowner at Avangrid’s Bakeoven and Daybreak solar projects in Wasco County, Oregon. We caught up with Vicki during a recent visit to the site. How long have you been on the land? Have things changed? The family has been here for almost 100 years, but I’ve been here for about 45 years. It’s totally changed from the dryland wheat to the solar project. This particular area was used for dryland wheat and cattle grazing before Avangrid built the solar project. We
