Avangrid in 2025: Powering growth, economy, and community

Avangrid closed out 2025 with achievements that underscore our commitment to meeting America’s surging demand for electricity, powering the U.S. economy, and empowering the communities where we operate.

This year, we announced that our largest solar project to date — the 321 MWdc True North Solar Farm in Texas— achieved commercial operation. We continued that momentum through the summer and announced commercial operation at our 202 MWdc Powell Creek Solar project in Putnam County, Ohio and our 57 MWdc Camino Solar project in Kern County, California. Together, these projects add enough capacity to power about 100,000 U.S. homes. They also represent significant investments that are delivering new jobs and tax revenue that will bolster communities across the country.

Avangrid also reached a major milestone: more than 80 power generation projects now in operation. With operations in 23 states and over 10.5 GW of power generation capacity, we are ensuring access to reliable and affordable sources of electricity that are helping to meet surging demand.

Beyond building new capacity, Avangrid strengthened America’s energy supply chain and reinforced our commitment to domestic manufacturing. For example, we are investing over $4 billion with U.S. suppliers across all Avangrid companies. And at our Tower Solar project in Oregon, we began installing more than 200,000 American-made solar panels. When we source from U.S. companies, we help create thousands of jobs, support local economies, and reinforce the resilience of America’s renewable energy infrastructure.

Avangrid is also investing in its people. At our new National Training Center in Oregon, we trained approximately 150 technicians during the first year of classes. Our state-of-the-art facility provides new and existing technicians with hands-on training to help them get up to speed quickly and become experts in their field. This ensures that as Avangrid’s fleet grows, so does the skilled workforce needed to maintain and operate these projects.

Community engagement remained a top priority in 2025. Through our Community Sponsorship Program, Avangrid supported more than 80 local nonprofits on behalf of our operating projects across 20 states, contributing over $200,000 to non-profits that strengthen the social fabric of the communities where we operate. From funding food banks in Oregon to supporting libraries in Pennsylvania and encouraging community in Ohio, these efforts reflect commitment to powering both the electric grid and the communities we operate in.

As we turn the page to 2026, we look forward to continuing our efforts to meet surging energy demand, bolster the U.S. economy, and empower community.
